One bag, knitted from brass.
Preon is an independent accessories brand based in the United Kingdom. We make bags knitted from fine brass wire — a traditional wirework technique where thin metal wire is worked in loops, the way yarn is knitted. The result is a flexible metal mesh: light, strong, and semi-transparent.
We currently make two bags. Tonsiba is the wire-mesh one: knitted from fine brass wire, made to order in small runs. Because the knitting is done by hand, tension varies slightly from piece to piece, so no two are exactly alike.
The Star Bag is the other, and it comes at the same idea from the opposite direction. Where Tonsiba is a plain shape in an unusual material, the Star Bag is an unusual shape in a plain one: a five-point star cut from smooth leather or suede, topstitched around every point, lined in black, worn flat against the body on a single shoulder loop. No hardware, no closure, no logo.
The brass is left uncoated, so it develops a natural patina with use; a soft cloth brings the shine back if you prefer it polished. Every order is packed in the UK and shipped worldwide, with free UK delivery and a 14-day return window. If something is not right with your order, contact us and we will fix it.
